Hybrid cars and their contribution to the environment

The concept of Oil Peak represents the point when the extraction of oil will reach its maximum. This concept was introduced by Marion King Hubbert. The whole idea is very simple: oil is a resource which doesn’t regenerate, and the amount of oil we extract grows every day. At some point it will reach its limits, and start decreasing. At that point not only gas prices will be huge, but also everything that will use petroleum will be limited and costly. In the 1970 a 5% decreasing led to prices for gas four times bigger, so just imagine how it will be in the future. This will not be just a simple crisis, but a permanent condition of human civilization.
We don’t have much time to switch our whole industry on alternative fuel. But we can start making small changes that count on long term.

Which are the alternatives?

Unfortunately, we don’t have many alternatives. The best alternatives are not very efficient. Take for example electric cars or cars which run on water. They are very costly and people won’t start buying them because, economically speaking, they don’t represent a better alternative to traditional cars.
Other alternative sources for gas are actually gas derivates, so that doesn’t lead us anywhere because they will also pollute and oil will be needed to obtain them. Bio-fuel is also a counter productive alternative because it also uses petroleum to grow (as fertilizer). So, the view upon the future is rather pessimistic.
The only thing we can do now to help is lower the amount of gas we use. If all the cars in the world would consume less gas, at least 1% less, it would surely improve our situation. There is a way to consume less gas, not only 1% but up to 50%. That is amazing if you ask me. Just imagine how much money you will save.
What you need is a hybrid car which will basically run on water and gas.

What is a hybrid car and how can I obtain it?

Hybrid cars are one of the best alternatives available, since other emission free vehicles are not very efficient on long term. You can buy a hybrid car, or make your own traditional car use water as fuel. And it’s not very expensive either. There are kits for cars available in stores and on the internet. All you have to do is search for them and use them on your car. You don’t even need a professional to do it because you can do it yourself. The kits usually come with guides but if you don’t have one, you can use one of the many guides available on the internet. If you give it a little time, it’s a very simple job.

Any advantages when using hybrid cars?

The main advantage is that you use water for fuel, but if that doesn’t satisfy you there are many other advantages like: refunds from the IRS for driving a low emission vehicle, increased mileage, a major benefit for your health and less money spent on gas.
